Back in the late 80's, I started working as a house painter and log home chinker as a way to support my outdoor passions: rock climbing, trail running and backcountry skiing. I soon found that the skills those sports required meshed perfectly with the demands of the trade - attention to detail, comfort working on high ladders and roofs, and the ability to deal with mind-numbing repetitive tasks!
